Peacock Pen

Across the road from my family farm in Grosse Isle, there is an older couple with a lot of birds: peacocks, chickens etc. I got a few peacock feathers to jazz up a fancy pen, and Chris and I used it to sign our marriage license at our Wedding. I now display it in a vase on our bookcase.

Guest Room Art

I found these images online, printed them on my Canon Ink jet printer, and framed them in some old picture frames we had laying around. Very simple, cheap and makes our guest room seem a lot more "guest roomie".

Craft Weekly Calendar

An old frame, minus the backing. I used chalk markers to draw on a weekly calendar with quirky days of the week and a "go getter" quote on the bottom to inspire. I made it with no real purpose in mind, I just wanted to make it. I decided to keep it in my craft room and use it for crafty to-dos!

A Good-ole Sharpie!

This may seem like a lame thing to put in my top 5- but I'll be honest, I use this bad boy ALL the time! A solid "ink" I use to label freezer meals, I have used to make signs for Kit's nursery, and any other number of things that require a thicker line or a permanent label.

Cards and Letters

I am not a huge fan of plain old cards- meaning, I tend to just throw them away after a few days of getting them. I love the sentiment, don't get me wrong, but I have only a handful that I will never part with.  They have very special handwritten notes inside- which is why those in particular are in my top 5 this month.
